The indomitable spirit of the Highlanders shine through even amongst those barely scratching an existence from the land and explains, more than any statistics can ever do, the huge exodus to the New World where their latent abilities blossomed and benefited every corner of the globe in which they settled.
Each individual mat is accompanied by a copy of James Logan's (1794 - 1854) original explanation of the R.R. McIan (1803 - 1856) painting and Logan's fascinating historical and social detail on the topic covered.
